“I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, and hypertension caused by sleep apnea. I also had tendinitis in both shoulders.
I started meds for my heart condition and started using a cpap machine.
I could see myself gain weight and no way to stop it. I was walking at least 10,000 steps a day, I was also doing chair yoga and often Zumba as well (when my heart allowed it).
My shoulders got so bad that I could hardly lift up my arms even after nearly a year of physiotherapy.
Then I heard about Metabolic Balance diet and decided to give it a try.
I lost fifteen pounds right away and my shoulder pains disappeared almost completely. I was able to use my arms again; I slept better (no caffeine I suppose). This diet literally gave me back the life I’d always enjoyed prior to my health issues. I’m 78 years old and have the energy of a 20 year old. This is the best thing I ever did for myself!
Sometimes Setbacks Happen
A fews day before an upcoming appointment, I was pushing a wheelbarrow full of soil and it tilted. To prevent it from falling, I used my leg and I twisted my knee. My leg swelled up and I had a hard time getting rid of the swelling, I had trouble walking and I wasn’t drinking my water to avoid painful trips to the bathroom. I hadn’t been able to exercise or even walk. Of course I felt sorry for myself and wasn’t following my meal plan, I was eating a lot of “not on my list foods”, like chips and ice cream!
The good news is that I know I can get back on track as soon as my leg gets better! On the plus side, last year I wouldn’t have been able to use a wheelbarrow because of my painful shoulders! We have to look for the positive, right? Lol!
Juliette is a Believer!
Looking back on the wheelbarrow incident and not being able to exercise, I thought my journey with Metabolic Balance was doomed, but after the swelling in my leg went down, I had managed to lose an extra two pounds, I enrolled in the six month program but I’m considering staying with the program forever. I’m definitely not regressing and am totally on track considering what I’m going through! My blood pressure is 111/66 and my resting pulse is at 61. Other than being in pain from my knee injury, I feel wonderful. I no longer need my second blood pressure medication and my shoulders are still fine and I sleep well. I truly believe in your program and I think you may have a permanent face to look at from now on! I will definitely continue with the saunas when we go back this fall.”
